Acrylic light guides are optimised to transmit light from the
edge of a panel towards the centre.  A light guide is designed
to release this light in such a way that the output of light is
equal across the whole surface.  The end result is an illuminated panel with no hot spots or variations in intensity, a major advantage when displaying high quality images in retail or commercial applications.

Light guides, coupled with conventional fluorescent tubes are widely used for IT displays, medium format advertising and
light boxes.  ASV's speciality is combining light guides with
LEDs to create a whole new market.

There are several acrylic formulation technologies available - ASV have chosen the optimum combination of price and performance.

Our component system creates double sided illumination, most applications are one-sided and require a reflector on the rear of the panel.
